Still submerged in Scottish church history, of which perhaps more anon, but musing on weddings and Gnostics helped me get airborne in a sermon for All Saints yesterday on the Bride of Christ.
And as the listeners never say, very good it was! I could feel my brain lumbering into action as I listened, which was reassuring as I felt fairly brain dead/anaesthetised on Sunday morning. It picked up something else I had read recently about what personal faith was, and commitment to Christ. No conclusions, all still swilling about in there somewhere.
Thanks Ann – I’m never sure if an image which really grabs me is going to grab anyone else!
